Confirm my wiring compatibility

Heathsalz

When I ran the comparability test on our current thermostat, it said it was compatible with a Nest. When installing our Nest via the app, I was told our system was incompatible and I could not complete the install process. We have W, Rh, R, G, and Y wires with open spaces for B and O wires. The thermostat is on gas rather than electric. Any ideas what is going on?

Give this wiring a try.

White - W to W

Red - R to R (jumper to Rh not needed)

Green - G to G

Yellow - Y to Y

Thanks, Patrick. That wiring will work with the Nest if I just undo the screws on the old thermostat and insert the wires into the Nest's ports?
