Connecting Nest Thermostat ONLY for Cooling

Hi All. I’d like to use the 230V nest learning thermostats in the Middle East, where we don’t even have heating 🙂 Is there a certain guide for this? The manual is with the Heat Link which we don’t need. Attached is the Default Wiring of our thermostats. Huge thanks in advance!

Hey aTurkintheSky,

Thank you for taking an interest in our community and for letting me know your concerns about whether you can install the Nest Learning thermostat only for cooling, but don’t worry, I’m here to help you.

In this case, Heat Link acts as the intermediary between your Nest thermostat and your heating system, sending signals to turn on the heat when needed and turn it off when not. This model of thermostat is only available for heating.
To learn more about the installation, please check out this article: Learn about Heat Link for Nest thermostats in Europe and go to the section using Heat Link.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Daniel
