Connecting Nest Thermostat SKU GA01334-US to Honeywell TH3210D1004

The mappings seem clear except there are 7 wires for six terminals. The unmatched appear to be the Orange and the Brown which was on 'E'. We mapped the White that originated from Aux.

Suggestions?

I understand now which you have.  Thanks for clarifying!

Sorry I am not being clear in my response. This is in response to what you wrote:

"Confusing because the webapp https://store.google.com/us/widget/compatibility/thermostat says it is compatible by selecting: R, Y, AUX, O, C, E, and the G,G1 option for G. It then asks if I have dual fuel and regardless of YES/NO answer, it says the Nest is compatible.

That is 7 wires. If that is a deal killer, it should easily deduce that."

I think the compatibility checker is indicating that the "Nest Learning Thermostat" is the compatible one.  It's a different thermostat than you have.

The photo of your old thermostat is very helpful! There are other experts here that often can help. Usually they want to know...Do you know what kind of system you have?  Electric, Gas, Heat Pump, Forced Air, Boiler or anything else that describes it?  It appears you might have a system with multiple types, maybe?  Regardless the more information the better!

It looks like you bought the new Nest Thermostat.  I hate to say it, but it might not be compatible because it only supports 6 wires.  The OB* terminal can be programed for different purposes, but I think you are going to be one wire short.  In some cases that is workable if you are willing to not use multiple stage for either heating or cooling.  Not sure in your case.

Finally you may want to check the compatibility checker to see if it can determine compatibility.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the reply. The system is a heat pump.

I wonder if it is telling you that the "Nest Learning Thermostat" is compatible? It is a different product than "Nest Thermostat".  Yes, confusing!

In the below URL, I think you have the pink colored one ie "Sand" (except yours is probably white).  It is the "Nest Thermostat".

It is the 'Nest Thermostat' not the 'learning' or the E.

Confirmed the Google Home app is seeing it as 'Next Thermostat.'

I am in the same boat. I have the same pump system and a heart pump system. I have the E for the emergency heat and no aux hooked up kn the Honeywell. I was told on the compatibility that I can purchase this one as well but it appears to only have the "W" or aux heat option. Is it ok to use the "E" wire to n thg he "W" wire's spot on heat pumps?

After exhausting all resources (including here), I concluded that model Nest doesn't support my system. I returned it.

Good luck.
