Connecting Nest thermostat to my phone app

My phone is no longer connected to the thermostat.

I reinstalled the app and tried to add the device. It tells me to add the entry code but when I try to find this on the thermostat it says the thermostat is already connected, and won't give me an entry code. I assume that this is because it is connected to my wife's phone.

I don't want to reboot the thermostat in case my wife gets disconnected too.

What to do? I can find no phone number to call for help!!

Thanks for reaching out.

 

The Nest Thermostat could only be added in one account. Inviting you as a home member will allow you to have access to control the thermostat. To do that, you both need to install a Google Home app to proceed.

Thanks. The problem is that I am the account holder, and my wife is the home member. That is why I don't want to reset in case she is disconnected. 

Do you know a phone number of someone at Nest that I can discuss this with?

Hi AdamGN,

 

Thanks for the update. Your thermostat might have connected to a different email account. Let's sort this out. 

 

Please make sure to sign in with the email associated with your thermostat and try checking other home structures where your thermostat might be connected. Also, you can check which email account is connected to the Google Home app to your wife's phone.
