I previously posted my thermostat is a 3rd generation and on the LCD screen says Nest Pro. I looked up the model number which is 02A and it indicates that my thermostat is a 2nd generation. The LCD options under setting indicates the thermostat is connected to an account but my iPhone indicates the thermostat is offline. I have rebooted the Internet several times. All other devices are online and no issues as I am posting this message. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or not doing? Thank you in advance. We are expected to have 6 days of freezing weather and I should really have the thermostat online. Again, thank you.

@res289 , of you have a Nest Pro model it is sold to HVAC contractors via an distributor. An HVAC contractor company probably installed it. If the Nest Display says it is currently connected to WiFi, then check the status of the Nest ID the thermostat is linked to.

Google have discontinued support for the 2nd gen thermostat. It will not connect to the app. Apparently, they emailed us offering a half price replacement - though I did not receive this email. Google are looking to not replace with any new thermostats in Europe.
