I have a 2 stage heating and 1 stage cooking heat pump that runs a long time in the heat stage and doesn’t seem to be efficient as it fluctuates between warm and cool air. Currently nest wiring is yellow-Y1, green-G, orange-OB, red-RC, white-W2, light blue-C. I did not use jumper in the nest.
My previous thermostat wiring had a wire for humidification which I eliminated and a jumper between 24RC-HC which I didn’t use.e
Is my nest wiring correct? Unfortunately I am not permitted to post pictures which would have been helpful.

Will get you close, as I have a similar system. Pretend you have single stage heat and dual fuel ( pro guide setup)
at your furnace jumper w1/w2 together
now furnace to 3rd generation nest
w1 > nest w2 aux heat (yeah, not w1)
e if you have it to > nest * configured as emergency hest
at thermostat - configure using pro set up and use dual fuel
this will also give you advanced heat pump features of economy, balance or comfort. Personally I’m also trying to do two stages of heat as the mfg had in mind. Lennox single stage Heatpump and air handler furnace with two stage heat.
