Did nest learning thermostat lose its ability to set specific home humidity?

I haven't used my nest-controller home humidifier since last year, but back then I was able to set a specific percentage of indoor humidity I wanted. Now when I look in the settings its just a bar of do I want it more or less humid. When I set it all the way to most humid it still doesn't turn on. If I run a humidifier test however, the humidifier WILL turn on proving that the connection is properly made. Did a change to the UX happen, or is there an issue with the humidifier.

Have you tried to reset/restart the thermostat?

I've restarted it. I've held off on a reset because I don't want to resync my sensors but it might be time to try it.
