E194 error message after 5 years of flawless use but AC working fine

My nest has been working fine for 5+ years.  AC still works fine.  Out of the blue I received the E194 message but AC still working.  Nest is not.  Please advise on how to trouble shoot or next steps

Let me start by asking you if you have a C-wire connection on your Nest thermostat. Another important detail is if you recently changed the air filter on your HVAC system.

I have not changed the filter recently but I did 2 months ago.  I just pulled it out and reinserted it.   I do have a C Wire Connected and when I went to the Equipment screen it showed 'Equipment sensed on W1-Y1-G-C and Wires inserted W1-Y1-C-G.  under Network Wi-FI Client not connected.  Not sure if that has something to do with the issue.  The AC is actually working, I just can not control or see how it is set and running from my app or on the dial.
