I know this issue has come up several times but I'm not seeing a solid solution for the problem I'm facing. I have inspected the wiring at the furnace all the way to the mounting plate and have 27 volts at both locations. When plugging the nest unit back into the base plate it is still showing a "No Power" error. The R wire for "power" is plugged into the RC terminal as it should, and tested while plugged into the terminal still reading 27 volts. I have tried taking the R wire and plugging it into the RH which then turns on my cooling system which is not good due to the temperature outside being well below safe operating temp for the condenser. We need heat as it is the beginning of February and still below freezing many nights. I'm not a HVAC tech but I am a property inspector and extremely handy installing HVAC, electrical and cooling systems in my rental properties, this is the first issue of it's kind for me.
Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention. I have also tested the system itself by manually connecting the power wire and the heat wire together and the heat turns on just fine and operates as it should. It seems to me that it is either the plate or the nest unit itself that has the issue.

Hello Dunkin,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
Your thermostat or a particular wire may not receive enough power or any power at all from the system, which causes the thermostat to display a report. Does it have a C-wire connected? If so, try removing it and leaving it disconnected. Also, could you please check its power readouts with and without a common wire on its technical info settings?
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Mark
