I have an application where I need to maintain temperature in a 3 season vacation home at just above freezing (34F). Presently the lowest setting available on Nest is 40F, which causes unnecessary heating costs in Winter. Can the Nest App and thermostat be modified to allow me to set and hold lower limit for this situation.

Hi Neumannenk,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest community. Let’s check this out. Safety temperatures can protect your home during extremely cold or hot weather. When your home reaches a set temperature limit, your thermostat will turn on heating or cooling even if it is set to off. This can help ensure that your pipes won't freeze or your home won't overheat. While we don’t have any details to share about Nest Thermostat Safety Temperature being set lower than the current default settings, what we can suggest is that you share your feedback as detailed.
Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.
Best,
Renz
