Electric 2 Stage Furnace Not Shutting Off After Desired Temp Has Been Reached

I have a 2 stage electric furnace with a heat pump. The furnace is a Goodman ARUF364216AC. I have a 3rd gen nest that has been working fine for years. Recently, the furnace hasn't been shutting off once the desired temperature is reached. It just continues to run and I have to flip the breaker to cut the furnace off. However, this only happens sometimes (like every couple of days). I've tested continuity/ all relays and replaced the circuit board in the furnace. Could this be an issue with my nest thermostat?

Wiring:

Y1         W2/ AUX

G          C

O/B      RH

Any feedback is appreciated as I'm running out of ideas.

Hi Ryan777,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that the Nest Thermostat  hasn't been shutting off once the desired temperature is reached. I'm happy to  help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Is there a wiring report or error message on your thermostat and/or app?
  • Can you please send me a picture of the Nest Thermostat wiring?
  • When did the inconvenience start?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.
