Error E160…

Bobtem
Community Member

Keep getting this error E160 “no power to Y1…”

I took thermostat off wall, pulled out and reinserted Y1 wire, and seemed to solve it for a couple hours. But now the error has returned.

I’ve had this thermostat for 5 years, and never had this issue till now. Why now, all of the sudden?

You’ll see this code if your air conditioner has tripped a safety cut-out switch that prevents your air conditioner from turning on in very cold weather, or your system might need maintenance.

Give these troubleshooting steps a try.
