Everyday I have to reset or reconnect my Google Nest Thermostat because it doesn't say connected

Not sure what to do I've reset it completely and reprogrammed it and it still requires almost every day if not within a few hours to be "reconnected" because my phone and Alexa/Google home cannot connect to the thermostat, anyone have any solutions to a problem like this..?

I am having the same issue. I have to restart everyday and it will be online on the app for a day. After about 24hrs it shows offline on the app. It is still connected to wifi just not on the app. I restart and it works for a day???? I still have to set my day and night temps manually.

It sounds like this issue has been pretty frustrating for you, so I'd be happy to help you out! Let me just ask you a few questions to figure out where the problem lies:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat are you using?
  • Do you have a Heat Pump system, or a conventional system?
  • What wiring are you using?
  • Are you getting any error messages on the Thermostat itself?
  • How far away is the Thermostat from the router?

In the meantime, I would encourage you to check out and follow the steps listed in this article. If you run into any issues with the troubleshooting, or if you had any questions about it, please let me know.

I'm sorry about the delayed response! In this scenario, we may need to contact someone from Nest Support, so they can look into your Thermostat and see if there is any kind of issues with the thermostat's power or sensors. Would you be able to fill out this form? After you do so, someone from Nest should reach out to you, and they'll have more tools to look into this issue.
