Freezing in settings

When I go to change the settings of the sensors in the nest app. When I press manage sensors the app freezes.  The set up has been working fine for the past bunch of years.

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry that the Nest app freezes when you try to change the sensor settings with your Nest Thermostat. I understand how frustrating this can be, since it has been working for a few years. I'm here to help.

For further assistance, I need to ask a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue start?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, please do the following steps:

  1. Restart your Nest Thermostat.
  2. Remove the sensor battery for at least 30 seconds, then put it back.
  3. Check if you're in the right account on the Nest app.
  4. To reset the network settings of the thermostat, go to Settings, then Reset, and then Network. If the network isn't available, select Account connection instead.
  5. Reconnect the thermostat to the network. If you reset the thermostat's account connection, also reconnect the thermostat to the account.
  6. Run a connection test.
