i have a AC unit only and my existing thermostat has a jumper between R and Rc - like so
when i connected the nest i connected to Rc all worked fine then received an error “no power to Rc wire”
i have googled and read that i should just connect to R on nest but there is no r just rc and rh
any ideas as to how i can solve this ?

Hi jnucci,
Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. You have a Nest Learning Thermostat, and it should be fine to connect the red wire to either RC or RH. Could you please check your thermostat power readouts? You can go to Settings, then Technical Info to check it. For your reference, you can visit this link.
