Google Home App Nest Connect Issue

Having the same issue as the one mentioned in the post linked below.

Google Home not producing a list of serial numbers to choose from after entering the setup code. Please advise.

I think you may be getting the result you are because you are trying to install the Nest Learning Thermostat in the Google Home app instead of the Google Nest app.

The Nest Learning Thermostat gets installed in the Google Nest app, and should then appear in the Google Home app automatically if you are using the same Google account for both and accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in both apps.

@MplsCustomer thank you very much. Attempted on the Google Nest App and receiving a Connection Problem Error - Nest Learning Thermostat could not be added to your account. Do I have to go through all of the resets again?

I'm just another Google Nest customer, and have no idea what that "Connection Problem Error" might be. Perhaps it's a temporary issue on Google Nest's servers and will work if you just try again in a short while.

Tried the guide and had already done all of those... retried and still no luck... receiving the same  Connection Problem Error - Nest Learning Thermostat could not be added to your account (even after the resets)

Thanks for keeping us in the loop on what you've done. Going over the steps here might help:

 

  1. Open the Nest app.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu.
  3. To proceed, tap Add.
  4. Give your home a name, then tap Next.
  5. Enter your home's address, then tap Next.
  6. Once you've added your new home to the app, you can add Nest products to it.
