Google Home App shows Nest Thermostat "Offline More than 30 days ago" after wi-fi change

I recently bought the Google Nest Wifi Pro 6E router and turned off my old router+wi-fi. I now have a new wi-fi SSID.

Following the directions from google support, I removed the thermostats from the Google Home App and manually disconnected the account from the thermostat itself.

When re-adding the device in the Google Home App, all goes smoothly: I'm able to add the thermostat to the new wi-fi network. However, the Google Home App shows this message in a big circle for the thermostat:

"Offline More than 30 days ago"

My new wi-fi network is only 2 days old.

I have restarted my network and factory reset the thermostat. No joy. What steps could I take next?

Found my issue! I am using the Beta/Dogfood version of Google Home App and that does not recognize the thermostate. When I used the regular Google Home App, the thermostat was recognized.

Nest thermostat more than 30 days offline. I have no direct access to my home internet or thermostat - out of country. How do I regain access to remote control of my thermostat (no one home who can do this)? Thanks!

Hi folks,

Slyngang, a few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? Check this link to know what thermostat you have. Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Best,
Mel
