I live in Texas and the high today is 97° F. I went out shopping with my family and decided to come home early because I was worried about leaving any of my purchases in the car in the heat. I walk into my bedroom and it feels like I'm on fire. It turned out my thermostat had shut off 45 minutes before I got home and the inside temp was now reading 86° F. While this isn't great for my home in general, I have 4 older pets, 3 dogs and a cat. Luckily none of them had passed out, but I don't know what might have happened if I hadn't come home early. I received no notification that the thermostat had shut off. I'm going to have a technician come out and replace this thermostat ASAP. I've had issues with it before but it was always something where I could change the settings and fix it. In general this has been such an annoying product, always anticipating my desires incorrectly (I don't want to save energy by turning the AC up when I'm not home; I have pets who need it to be cool!).

Hello AmyKamp,
Oh no! I hope everyone is okay. Thanks for bringing this up, and I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
Were there any instances where you used the Eco mode? If so, I'd suggest turning off the Home and Away Assist to avoid changing the temperature mode randomly. Also, if you have the Google Home app installed on your phone, check for any thermostat actions in the Routines that may trigger your thermostat to switch to Off.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Mark
