Google Nest T-stat wiring

Switching from Honeywell to Google nest T-stat. The Honeywell currently has two separate wires coming to it; one set for A/C and the other set for heat. My red wire for the A/C is connected to the Rc port on the Honeywell. Which port does this go to on the Google nest?

Hi BW87,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We'd be happy to take a look into this for you. If you only have one red wire on the system, you can put it on the RC terminal on the Nest thermostat. If you have two red wires, you'll put the red wire for A/C on the RC terminal and the RH terminal for the heating wire.

Let us know if that helps.

Best,

Renz
