So I have a free thermostat coming from OHMConnect (If you're in California, Texas, New York, i believe you can get them too , here's an article - https://www.technews.city/2021/06/northern-california-residents-can-now.html )
What im wondering is how to control it without having to literally walk to where it is mounted? It's going to be quite a distance from my bedroom, so when they say 'smart' does that mean there's an app I can start using??

Hey Choncer,
Sorry for the delay but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community.
Yes, we have the Google Home or the Nest app that you can install on your phone so that you can remotely control your Nest thermostat without having to walk to where it is located. Check this out for the step by step installation guide: https://bit.ly/3a6peIu
Hope this helps.
