Google Nest Yellow Icon

 Every morning when I switch from Cool to Heat, I get the yellow gear/leaf icon (right below the 78 in the picture) then the temp goes all the way down to the minimum (42c). Then, I have to manually set the heat value before the heat turns on. Any idea why this is happening?

That is the Seasonal Savings Icon, and here is a link to a help article about it.
