Hi we have a first generation Google Thermostat, when we set it to heat mode it blows cool air. We don't have a heat pump, our system is electric. We also set it to Forced Air because we get air coming through registers. We don't have any wires in the OB slot either. The slots that have wires are: R G Y W C. Thanks for any help.

Hello IrfanZ,
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the Nest Thermostat, where it blows cool air when set to heat mode. Given that you don't have a heat pump and your system is electric, let's try troubleshooting a few things.
Firstly, make sure the wires are correctly connected to the corresponding slots on your thermostat:
Since you don't have wires in the OB slot, it's correct not to have any. However, double-check the connections in the mentioned slots to ensure they are secure and properly seated. Additionally, confirm that your thermostat settings match your heating system. In your case, since you have a forced-air system without a heat pump, the settings should be as follows:
If the issue persists, you may want to check your heating system itself. There could be a problem with the electrical components or the heating element. It might be a good idea to perform a factory data reset on it and make sure to select the correct system configuration.
Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Best regards,
Mark
