Hello!
We just moved in a house and the previous owner left us a Google nest E. It was all setup and worked perfectly fine for her. Except we are not able to get it working. We now have working WiFi and we tried to connect everything.
Every time we try to add a new device it keeps asking me to factory reset the thermostat with the error message TD003 (0.24). We have done that numerous times but it won't get out the loop.
Aso if we connect the heat link all the heating in the house turn on on max! Since we cannot control the thermostat this is a problem.
I hope anyone can help us!
(Excuse me for my bad English!)

Hi there @Wobbely,
We're sorry to hear that. No worries. Help is on the way!
Could you tell me please when did the situation start occurring at first and when was the thermostat installed? Also, could you provide me please with a couple of pictures of the display, app and Heat Link's surroundings?

The situation occured when we moved in, (4 weeks ago) so we never saw it working. The thing that changed is that the wifi changed to a new provider.
We asked the previous owner and she got the termostat around 2 years ago? The display is now not showing anything, except for a small red dot blinking on top of it.
I make some pictures to give an impression.
We took out the red wire from ot1, because if we put it in, the heating goes on on maximun in the whole house.

Thank you very much. At the top of the display or the Heat Link?

Top of the display.

Thank you for confirming. In order to perform some troubleshooting steps, we need to charge the thermostat. Please pull off the display from the base and plug it into a power socket using a micro USB cable. Leave it to charge for about 90 minutes and give us the power readings afterwards. You'll find them in Settings> Tech Info> Power.

First of all the display turns on again!
I didn't even knew I could take the thermostat off the base.
I did connect the thermostat to the new internet now! But we have error code H153 if we try to finish the install.
The reading on setting - tech info- power are;
Accu 3,934v
Vusb 4,37 v
Vin 5,16v
Lin 200 Ma
I have no clue what that means if if you can do anything with this .

Thank you for the information. It is good to hear that the display is on now.
Usually that message would indicate that the OpenTherm wires in the Heat Link terminals are not connected and/or that the thermostat is not set to an open therm system correctly in the settings.
Just to check, did you connect the wires on the Heat Link side back and did you set the thermostat to OpenTherm control?

The heat link was already connected to the wall when we got it. So I assume that should be alright. I found the message that the open therm system isnt connected properly. and cannot finish the setup.
Is there a guide h ow to properly setup the heat link?

You can check out this video to see the full installation process for the Google Nest E: https://bit.ly/3yyJaA6 . The settings will be set in the Nest app when adding the display and on the thermostat display. These settings can also be changed latter under Settings> Equipment> Pro Setup.
Just to confirm, the boiler at the location is an OpenTherm compatible boiler and wired and set up as such correct?
