Hello Alma85,

Thanks for reaching out. It appears your Nest Thermostat is indicating that it's using auxiliary heat (alt. heat stage 1) because the primary heat source might not be sufficient in the current conditions. You may want to check if there's an issue with your primary heating system. To address the immediate problem of blowing cold air, you could try increasing the temperature setting to see if that triggers the primary heat source. Also, you may want to try the following:

  1. Check your air filter. A clogged or dirty air filter can restrict airflow and cause the system to switch to emergency heat. Replace the filter if it's dirty.
  2. Restart your thermostat. Turn off the thermostat, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This might reset the system and resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring and gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings.

Let us know how it goes.

Warm regards,
Mark
