Google v Nest app

I have had a nest app for over three years. In just the last few months, the app has stopped working. Is that because I need to connect it to the Google Home app and start controlling my Nest app through the Google Home app

To better assist you, could you tell me what device you are controlling through the Nest app? 

We can certainly encounter difficulties with certain devices; however, I'm happy to find a resolution for you and your devices.
