H72 Error do I need a new base?

Thermostat itself charged up separately but when plugged back to the base - it won't work and says no power with H72 error. It's been fine for about 4 years! I think the base may not be working, can I order a new one anywhere? Is there a cost? Is it something else? Please help!

Hello @HayBerry

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about the power for your Nest thermostat. I apologize for all the inconvenience. Don't worry; I'm here to help you with it.

For the H72 error code on your thermostat, you need to make sure that your thermostat is fully inserted into the power plug and that the plug has been pushed all the way into the wall socket. then make sure that the display and power cable are fully seated.

Another recommendation is to check the fuse. It’s possible that the fuse controlling power in your system isn’t properly seated or is blown. Re-seat or replace it as necessary.

If you check the previous steps and the error still exists, it could be necessary to buy a new stand for your thermostat. You can enter in the Google Store to find it.

Feel free to reply to my post in case you need more information. I'm happy to find a solution for you.

Best regards,

Douglas.
