Heat Pump cooling test works, Thermostat Cooling mode does not??

When I do the heat pump cooling TEST…my heat pump kicks on and starts cooling. After I exit out of the test, I turned my cooling mode on the Thermostat on and the heat pump does not kick on. 

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!! If you need more information than I have provided, please let me know!

The heat pump turned on a couple minutes after I turned the cooling mode on so I do not need help anymore. 
I changed the wiring today since before I changed the wiring, when I turned the cool mode on, it blew out hot air. I learned of the wiring change from another post on this site and I am extremely grateful for the existence of this website!! Thank you all!!
