Heating schedule not as versatile as hot water schedule. Why not?

With the hot water schedule I can have the same schedule on every day of the week, and when I change the start and stop times it changes all the days. With heating I have to set the temperature for start and stop every day of the week individually, if I change anything its not repeated.

AND ALSO  why cant I programme an OFF time? I don't want heating in the middle of the night.

AND ALSO why cant I heat for 30 minutes if I want to ?

@stevedunning , the Nest Learning Thermostat has a copy function to copy say Monday to the other days of the week.  Also, if you want the turn the Heating system off, just set it to the lowest temperature possible on the schedule.  The System Mode, is a separate function and there is no need to be able to turn the system off and on within a schedule. There can be instances when you need cooling in the midday, and heating at night.  For this reason, you have the ability to set the system mode to Heat and Cool at the same time as long as you utilize a combined heating and cooling schedule.

Make sure to check out @CoolingWizard advice, thanks for the input.

The heating schedule is set as such to prevent short cycling the boiler. If the desired temperature is reached, the heating should turn off.

You can long press on the day in the schedule you set up and you should receive the option to copy it. After, you can paste it for the other days. However for heating each day will be edited individually, so any edit to a day will not influence the others.

To turn the heating off, just set a lower temperature at the time you wish for it to turn off. The thermostat will not turn the heating back on unless the temperature drops below that minimum temperature of comfort you set.
