Heating won't start

JaneH88

Hello,

My thermostat, phone and internet all say that the system is heating, but no heat is coming through.  I have been trying to sort this out for several days and I can't fix it myself and am feeling colder and colder !  i went away for several days last week (turned to away) and have been unable to get it going again since then.  Please help.  I do not want to pay an engineer for a call out.  Thank you.

Hello JaneH88,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To isolate:

  • Could you please share with us your thermostat's wiring?
  • When did the heating last work?
  • Did you hear if your heating system was running when you called for heat?
  • Is your thermostat able to activate your AC?
  • When was the last time you changed the furnace's air filter?
    • Note: A clogged air filter can cause an HVAC system to not activate.
  • Have you experienced extremely cold weather lately?
  • Are you getting any wiring reports or message codes?
  • Is it showing any delay timer on its screen?
  • Please gather the power readings on your thermostat's Technical Info settings.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark
