I have been away but my history shows 11 1/4hrs usage during the night - no one was here, how has that happened.

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

The Google Nest thermostat has the ability to learn when to turn on and off your system to keep your home temperature comfortable, unless you totally turn your HVAC unit off. 

We could check your temperature schedule and see if there's any set point where this activity happened.
