Help wiring Nest Learning Thermostat for my Dual Fuel System

Jaredwheet

Hi,

I have a dual fuel system. It has a heat pump that runs until the outside temp is 25 degrees. When that happens the furnace will kick on instead. I am attaching a pic of my current thermostat wiring. Can someone help tell me where these wires should go on a Nest 3rd Gen Learning Thermostat?

Thanks!

The furnace is Gas, the heat pump is electric.

Hi Jaredwheet,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. How is your Nest Thermostat currently wired? To isolate the issue, please try the following wiring:

W1 - White

R - Red

OB - Orange

Y - Yellow

G - Green

C - Blue

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward

When doing the Pro setup can you help with each wire and how it should be setup?

Hi Jaredwheet,

Thanks for the response. Did you get an option to set it up as a homeowner? Please share a photo of what you're seeing on your thermostat so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,

Edward
