How do I move the Nest Thermostat from my account to the account of the new homeowner?

I sold my house and deleted the thermostat from the Nest app.

According to the new buyer, the Nest thermostat is still attached to my account but I do not have access to it in the app.
Is it possible to factory reset locally or a way to trigger a reset remotely through Google?

Hello acelaya93,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to our community! We'd be happy to help you out today.

I believe that the new homeowner should be able to factory reset the device through the link. It's possible your credentials are still logged into the Cloud, linking it to your former thermostat. If you still have the Google Home app, you can remove a product from the app to uninstall it. The factory reset should be able to wipe personal details/settings for a fresh install.

Can you try those out and let me know how it goes?

I look forward to your response and hope we can figure this out together.
