I am trying to add Nest to my google home, but I cannot even do that because when I try it asks me to sign on, but only gives me the option to sign on via email. Unfortunately I have already migrated to the google signon. It tells me to sign in through Google which I do, but it does nothing to help. So I am stuck.

It's a little unclear what you are trying to do. Your title says "cannot link Nest to Alexa" but your description does not mention Alexa. And you say you are "trying to add Nest to my google home".
Are you trying to install a Nest thermostat? If so, the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E get installed in the Google Nest app (and then should automatically appear in the Google Home app), while the Nest Thermostat gets installed only in the Google Home app.

If you have migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account, and are not seeing your previously installed thermostat in the Google Home app, you should know that for the last year many customers have seen this happen, and have used this workaround:
1) In the Google Nest app, create a new, temporary Google Nest "home/structure".
2) In the Google Home app, go to that new, empty Google Nest "home/structure" and delete it.
3) This seems to force the 2 apps to sync, and the thermostat then appears in the Google Home app (in the original Google Nest "home/structure").

Hello everyone,
I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.
Thanks for the help here, MplsCustomer.
@LovieP, I'm sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing while attempting to add a Nest Thermostat to your Google Home app. We understand that you are encountering difficulties due to the sign-on process, specifically with the limited option to sign in via email, despite having migrated to Google Sign-on. Have you had a chance to follow the steps shared above?
Let us know how it goes and if you need more help.
Best regards,
