If blowing hot air with heat pump, connect white wire to O/B on Nest to get compressor to kick in.

    Spoiler
Finally found the solution after searching all over the net.  Will have to do a factory reset and re-set-up thermostat after relocating the W wire to O/B.

Replaced 2 Honeywell thermostats in house wire for wire (r, w, y, g, c) for the Nests.  Everything works, displays ok, Wifi connects, etc., except  the compressors at the heat pumps do not kick in when outside units/fans come on.  Therefore, the air handlers (in attic) just blow hot air.  Does the wiring configuration need to be switched or an additional power connection/jumper need to be added?
