Incorrect room temp single wild variation

Had an issue last night.  Turned on the heat from a preset of 17.5c to 22c.  Heat came on, but went off in about 10 minutes.  In our house this usually takes 40 minutes.  Checked the thermostat and room temp was at 27c.  Reset power, and also soft reset. Room temp was coming down at about 1c every 2 minutes.  This morning, no issues.  But now I don’t trust the thermostat.  Has never happened before and unit is about 6 years old.  Battery is 3.898v, voc is 31.78.  No leaks or drafts.  Any suggestions?

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue start?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Does the thermostat screen indicate it’s actively calling for heating or cooling?
  • Can you please send me a picture of the Nest Thermostat wiring?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
