Inside room temperature

Just bought a learning Nest thermostat. How do I know what temperature inside the room is remotely.  Its in a vacation home. I can change the thermostat temp but how can see the ambient temp of the room?

My Nest app on my phone sometimes shows the room temp by the 'dial' and sometimes not.  But if you look closely, there is a wider line that shows what it's set to, and a narrower line that shows what the room temp is.  If you add the Nest to the Google Home app, the display there always shows the room temp digits.
