Installing Thermostat 4th Generation - Red Wire Issue

Pravs

I am trying to install Google Nest Learning Thermostat 4th generation. I use my electrical to see if there’s power in each wiring and it beeps. However, upon installing the thermostat, it shows “no power” for the red wire. I tried shifting from Rc to Rh but still no luck. I contacted Google Customer Service regarding this matter and was told there might be an issue with the product itself. I did an exchange and received a new product of the same model. After attempting to install it again, still no luck. I would appreciate any advice on how to tackle this matter.

@Pravs ,

You to set your Colt Ohm Multimeter to AC power. The check the power between R wire and the Common wire. You should get reading of 19 to 27 volts. If the voltage reading is much closer to OL or zero volts, the problem is in your HVAC equipment.
