I have Solar panels as well as whole home battery backup and wondering if there was a way to use the Nest Thermostat to optimize power utilization?

Hi jonesin73,
Thanks for reaching out. The Nest Thermostat's voltage requirement is 20-30V AC. You could also click on this link to learn more about the technical specifications of the Nest Thermostat.
Thanks,
Edward

Thanks. I've had Tesla Solar and Powerwall for more than a year and should have clarified if there were specific settings for the thermostat that would optimize the setup.

Hi jonesin73,
Thanks for clarifying. There's no settings in the Nest Thermostat that you need to optimize. As long as it would receive the power that it needs, it should work fine.
Thanks,
Edward

Thank you, I saw the reply. I was looking for more information on if there was a way to make the Next aware that I was not connected to grid power and utilized solar and powerwalls. I didnt think there was but checking just in case there was something I missed

Sounds good, jonesin73. Before I mark this as resolved, is there anything else you might need? I'll be happy to answer anything else if you have more questions.
