Issues with scheduling and thermometer

I've recently bought 2 Nest thermostats 3rd generation for my dual zone 4 bedroom new build (1 zone for the ground floor, 1 zones for the 1st and 2nd floor). They were installed by a Google Nest Elite gentleman recommended by Google.

I have an Ideal Logic Combi boiler esp1 35 which supports OpenTherm.

First disappointment, according to the installer, I cannot use OpenTherm with dual zone and Nest. It's currently working with an on/off setting.

Second issue is the thermometer reading. Both thermostats read a temperature that is 2-3 degrees higher than what is measured by my indoor thermometers. That's a big issue for a 200 pounds piece of technology. I read that I need to give it a couple days to adjust.. I can't understand the logic in that but I'll give it a week and I'll update the thread.

Third issue the way the heating operates is all over the place! I set a schedule at 20°C from 7:30 to 9:30 then 16°C until 17:30 when it goes up to 20°C again until 19:30, then 18°C until 22:00 then 17°C through the night.

At at 8:00 or 18:00, it's around 18-19 degrees in the house but the thermostats think it's 20 so it's not working. If I restart them, then they read the correct temperature and start heating but then they are "stuck" again at 20 for the rest of the time. Basically they only read the correct temperature when I restart them and they seem to ignore the schedule I created.

The auto-schedule is off in both. The eco temperature is set at 12.

I'm honestly disappointed and I hope I didn't waste my money. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi there, @Mourad

Thanks for reaching out. For the first point, there's not much we can do since the device itself is not compatible with zoned OpenTherm. About that, you can leave your feedback here (https://goo.gle/33uLTYZ), but that's pretty much it. For the second matter, we'll need to troubleshoot it, and for that we'll need a picture from your thermostats settings > Technical info > Network for each thermostat that's not reading the temperature correctly and then based on the results, we'll move on to the next steps. And finally for the third, could you tell us please if your True Radiant and Max duration options are off?

Thank you for your reply @DragosC.

I've attached screenshots of the Stats from the app but if you need something from the Stats themselves, unfortunately I'm currently on holiday for the next two weeks... I can do it upon my return.

Thanks for the link, I'll leave a feedback.

Lastly, yes True radiant is on and Max duration is set at 2 hours.
