Tried to install NEST thermostat.  It would not control temp.  

Could my system not be compatible?

Hi Jackson, 

Sorry to hear about your wiring issues! I know how frustrating it can be to decode HVAC wiring setups. Let's work on this together. 

From what I am seeing on your thermostat, it's possible that you might need a C-wire or Power Connector to provide consistent power. If the Nest Thermostats don't receive enough power (usually provided through your HVAC's wiring), some features may be disabled to preserve its batteries. Since your system seems very specific, looking into a Nest Pro is recommended, especially if you're looking to install a C-wire.
