Jumper question

KwC
Community Member

Hey all! So my current thermostat has cables going to G Y W and one to RC with a jumper connecting RC and RH. I've read that nest doesn't need jumper cables so my question is: when the thermostat comes to I connect the R cable to RC or RH, and then with no cable attached to the other how does it get power? Thanks!
