YES, thank you for selling out and taking all the fun and enjoyment for a home automation hobbyist. I have been futzing and tinkering for 7 years with NEST to use the API to get MY Own data. ITS MINE. And now you want to charge me $5 bucks for using the API to get MY DATA. Lame.
I have been using the API to feed my OWN home dashboard for close to 5 years that I created on my own; that is only available to ME in MY HOME. Your crappy google HOME APP is not smart enough to even conceptualize that a "Device" may actually be another application that just needs an oauth/api key.
Oh well, time to de-install the NEST, and the 3 NEST protects and everything to do with what was ONCE a great product, a great company which provided us Home Automation DIY's something fun to do. Now, its just Google gobbling up all the independent creativity of your (once) loyal customer. A very sad day...
