Learning Thermostat Stopped Working

Benso
Community Member

I’ve had 2 nest thermostats for a couple of years. They’ve worked fine until a couple days ago.

I got the e195 “no power to R wire” error. I checked everything else in that system and nothing was wrong. I tried swapping in the thermostat from upstairs and it worked just fine.

What went wrong with the first one and how do I get it to work?

Hi Benso,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, where are you located? Do you have a C wire connected? If so, try removing it then check if the issue persists. Kindly share a photo of your wiring setup here. Check the power reading, go to Settings> Tech Info> Power> share all the information there. You may also check the power reading of your R wire using a voltmeter if you have one.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Emerson
