Learning thermostat refuses to cooperate

Brand new trane hvac system 1 month old. Standard 16 seer heat pump with emergency heat strips. Everything seems to be wired correctly on both ends, yellow to y1, red to rh, orange to o/b, green to g, white to w1, brown to w2, blue to common. My system gets confused when switching from heat to cool or vice versa. If it's been in heat and we switch to cool it will still try to blow hot air. Without changing anything in the system other than turning it off, If I wait 10 or 20 min, it will finally blow cold air. And the same thing happens when I try and put it back into heat from cool. I need help, and my hvac company has checked the reversing valve and say it's operating normal. Not sure what else I can troubleshoot. I've checked the O/b setting as well.

@Discodjtc

Do you have a picture of the original thermostat wiring that you can post?

Can you post a picture of the Nest wiring?

Which Nest thermostat do you have?
