Hello,
Yesterday I was adding my third Nest thermostat to my house and it requires using Google Home app. I was prompted to migrate from the Nest app to Google home. I was able to add the new “non-learning” thermostat but the two existing gen 2 Nest Learning devices didn’t migrate and no longer show on my Nest app. When I login to the Nest app with my old account info, it tells me that I migrated. When I try to add the old thermostats to Google Home, I’m told the thermostats are registered to another account. How do I resolve? Thanks!

Hi Twellsrx,
Thanks for being here in the Google Nest Community.
A couple of things I'd like to check. Did you use the same email account from the Nest app when you migrated to the Google Home app? Did you create a multiple home structure from the Nest app?
Check out this link to know more about account migration.
Let us know by replying to this thread.

Hi -
I did have two homes on my Nest account. Two Nest Learning at the home where I installed the new thermostat and a third learning unit at another home.
I had my Nest account setup with a hotmail email account and the new Google account uses my gmail 😀 account.

Hi Twellsrx,
Thanks for the reply and we're sorry for the delay.
Since you're using a new Gmail account, the devices from the old account will no longer show. For us to get your devices up to your new account, we'll need to perform a complete factory data reset on your Nest Thermostat and add it using the Google Home app. By doing so, there are new app features that could easily help manage your devices.
Regards,
Ryan
