Low temp readings

  • We have a cottage that we will be installing a forced air electric furnace and a nest thermostat. When we leave the cottage we will be turning the heat off completely. What's the lowest temperature the nest is capable of reading.

Hey 6458,

Thanks for reaching out and for considering Nest Thermostat.

When you lock your thermostat with the Nest or Home app, the smallest temperature range is 5º F (for example, 70-75º F). There is no minimum temperature range if you set the lock directly from the Nest thermostat. So if you want to set a smaller range or lock the thermostat to a single temperature you'll need to set the lock on the thermostat itself.

Check out this link for more details.

Best regards,

Ryan
