Hi,
I recently purchased a nest learning thermostat and called a OnTech technician home to install it. On opening the earlier thermostat, he said that the wires all look good except he measured the voltage and it was 22.6V. He said that the minimum required is 24V and therefore he can’t install it.
I then called the Nest support who said that the 22.6V is not a problem and that it should work.
I am now confused if this can work or not! Attaching here a photo of the wiring as well.

Hey there,
I'm so sorry for the delay in our response, but I wanted to hop in here to make sure we addressed your concern. I can definitely understand the confusion when it comes to thermostat issues as it can be very odd to figure out sometimes, but I'm happy to look into this for you.
First off, I would suggest using the Compatibility Checker to see if your system is compatible. Then, if it is, I would suggest contacting a pro to come out to help you with this since I know there has been some confusion with the voltage.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns as I'm happy to help.
Best regards,
Garrett DS
