Simple question, looking for a simple solution. I would like to remotely monitor the temperature in an unoccupied lake home off season. Don’t need to change temperature, or tie to a thermostat. Just monitor. I was sold a nest temperature sensor ( local Target ) with the assurances this is all I need. Reading the directions, it appears to need a Nest Learning thermostat in order to work? Thanks. Technology caveman.
