Hi .My nest v3 is now almost 4 years .i'm now getting h71 and once h72 error .
I still can get hot water and heating on , but im worried i will lose them if i do a factory reset on my heatlink .
i'm assuming i can replace the nest thermostat if its faulty without touching the heatlink and swap it out myself or would i need to replace both .
any advice please
thanks

Hi @red-scorpius71 , sorry for the late reply. An H71 message usually indicates that the connection between the Heat Link and the thermostat was lost. The H72 message would indicate that power to the thermostat was lost. If there have been any power issues at the location this can lead to them disconnecting. What is the current state of the thermostat?
Should you decide to replace the thermostat you can switch the old display with a new one and pair it to the Heat Link. But it would be best if we did some troubleshooting first to see what's going on as the behavior could be related to the Heat Link.
