My learning thermostat is turning on and off in a short period of time.

  • I bought a Nest Learning Thermostat and a sensor because I wanted to have more control my daughter's room temperature. I install it them, and the thermostat worked fine for a few days. Then, the compressor started to turn on and off within minutes. At the beginning, I thought it was from the A/C, but I installed my old thermostat. It A/C was fine. I installed Nest thermostat again, and it worked fine for a day. Then, the problem came back again, and my apartment became humid, the cooling was very slow. The temperature in my daughter's room was better with the old thermostat. I was disappointed with the thermostat, and I'm thinking to return it with the sensor even though I was excited to buy them. Can you help me to fix the problem?

Hey almizraqmohamme,

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble getting everything to work as intended. I would be more than happy to assist you and see if we can find the  issue. Do you mind me asking, could you please send in a picture of your current wire set up for me to review? Please let me know once that has been sent, so I can take a closer look.

Best regards,

Jake
